Garage Door Repairs Hamilton and Waikato
When your garage door’s not playing nice — we’ll FIX it, fast.
Reliable Garage Door Repairs Across Waikato
A garage door that will not open is a problem you want gone today, not next week. We fix them: 500-plus repairs a year across Hamilton and the Waikato, every brand, and we always make room for emergencies. If your car is stuck inside, tell us and we will hustle.
Fast, Honest, and Fair
We keep things simple. Our team will show up on time, figure out what’s going on, and get things sorted — usually in one visit. If we can fix it on the spot, we will. If not, we’ll explain the options and give you a fair quote. Most repairs are quicker (and cheaper) than people expect — especially compared to replacing the whole door.
Great Service, No Strings Attached.
Not sure what’s up with your door?
We’ll help you figure it out — no pressure, no jargon.
What We Repair
Broken springs. The most common failure. A snapped torsion or extension spring leaves the door too heavy to lift by hand. We carry replacement springs for the major brands and fit them on the spot.
Snapped or frayed cables. Cables wear where they wind onto the drum. A frayed cable makes the door hang crooked; a snapped one drops a corner. Both are a quick fix when caught early.
Motors and openers. Doors that hum, stall or move a few centimetres and stop. Sometimes it is the motor, often it is a sensor, a gear or a worn part. We diagnose before we quote, and we tell you straight if the motor genuinely needs replacing.
Damaged panels. A reversed-into panel does not always mean a new door. Single sectional panels can usually be replaced and colour matched.
Doors off track. A door that has jumped its tracks is dangerous to force. We reset the rollers and tracks, then find and fix whatever knocked it out in the first place so it does not happen again.
Repair first, replace only when it is right
Two of our customers had been told their doors were beyond saving. Susan T was quoted $2,000 for a new motor by another company who said her noisy, unreliable door was unfixable; Craig fixed it in an hour for $120. Rob Schultz was quoted $3,800 and told the door needed replacing; our team arrived after a cancellation and had it fixed within the hour for $138. Murray Rounthwaite's car was stuck behind a jammed door and every other place quoted several days and a replacement. We got someone there the same day and repaired the door, and he says it has never worked better.

Stop small issues turning into big ones.
A yearly service can save you from headaches down the track. We offer scheduled maintenance to keep your garage door running smooth and quiet — and help you avoid the classic "it's stuck halfway open and I’m late" scenario.
FAQs
How fast can you get to a broken garage door in Hamilton?
Usually the same week, and the same day when a car is trapped inside. Dot Curry rang at 11.45am with her car stuck behind a door that would not open; Craig arrived within two hours and fitted the new motor she needed. We treat trapped cars as priority callouts, so tell us straight away if that is your situation.
Do you repair all garage door brands?
Yep. Doesn't matter where it came from: if it rolls, tilts, or hums, we can probably fix it. If we can't, we'll tell you straight. We repair all the major brands and openers regardless of who installed them.
Should I repair or replace my garage door?
Repair, more often than people are told. Older openers do eventually become obsolete and parts genuinely run out, but "obsolete" is sometimes used to force a sale. We assess honestly. When a replacement really is the right call, we say so and quote it; when it is not, we fix what is there. Lee Churchman's door was fixed with changes made so the fault would not come back, all for a reasonable price.
What does a garage door repair cost?
Small repairs like a cable, a sensor or a spring often land between about $120 and a few hundred dollars. Motor replacements cost more. We give you a straight quote before doing the work, no surprises. For new doors, see our garage door cost guide.
Do you cover Cambridge and Te Awamutu?
Yes. Hamilton is home base, and we cover Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Morrinsville and the wider Waikato, with dedicated pages for Te Awamutu and Cambridge repairs.
Not Sure What’s Wrong?
Give us a bell — we’ll talk it through.
If your door’s acting up but you’re not sure why, we’re happy to help figure it out. Sometimes it’s a quick fix, other times it needs a proper look — either way, we’ve got you.
